Is the video card in your system the same one that came with the computer from Dell? If your system came with an ATI video card, Dell would often include the ATI driver CD with the system, depending on which particular ATI video card it was. Otherwise, the video card driver can be found on your Dimension Resource CD. If your system came with an nVidia video card, the driver should also be available on the Resource CD.
Be sure to install the Intel chipset driver (Intel INF update utility) from your Resource CD before installing other drivers, especially the video driver. There are no markings on the card other than the ones listed in my original post. I unfortunately do not have the original disks or any other documentation that came with the system. I inherited this computer from work and I had to install a fresh copy of windows, office, etc. The only markings on the card are the ones I included in the original post and I have to assume that it is the original card.
Is there a way of figuring out if it is an ATI or Nvidia card from those markings? What would happen if I install the wrong driver?
